Any Good Christian or Secular Sites Out There?

I'm looking for some top notch sites from both sides that deal exclusively pro or con with the truth claims of Christianity, along with ones defending atheism/skepticism. First check the links in our sidebar to be sure we don't have them. No political sites, please. Only apologetical, anti-apologetical, philosophical, theological and/or Biblical sites from scholars or academic people on both sites. Also tell us if we link to any inferior sites or links that no longer work. Thanks.

Here's how to link to a site:

This is all I can show of the HTML text below, otherwise you couldn't see it at all:

Xa href="">X X/a>

Now replace all of the X's with the opposite left pointing arrow that matches the right hand arrows seen. Then insert your URL in place of Y below, and replace Z with the title to the link.

Xa href="Y">X Z X/a>

You want to use (ampersand)lt; and (ampersand)gt; for your angle brackets, then they'll show up in the comment:

<a href="Y">X</a>

I can offer up my newly created site, Very Special Monkeys, which is a skeptical site. Only two posts into it, but you can read my intentions in the intro post. I would appreciate the link.

Also, I have to promote my personal favorite, Greta Christina's Blog.

I live in Milwaukee, so hopefully I'll be able to make it to Madison for your speech.

Planet Atheism is a great aggregator site for atheist blogs.

BTW, is there a reason why DC is not listed?

Experimental Theology
I quote from Richard Beck's site "a professor and experimental psychologist with interests in the psychology of religion." "given my training I try to integrate theology with data from the experimental social sciences. Second, many of the posts you'll find here are theological experiments."
A great site for a reasoned and often critical look at Christianity. Always done in a polite and accepting way. I comment there from time to time and as an unbeliever I'm always treated with respect.

Another one:
Secular Philosophy
Bloggers here include: Daniel Dennett, Colin McGinn, Massimo Pigliucci. Also Pigliucci's blog
Rationally Speaking

If anyone sees a site that we should be linked to like Planet Atheism, please tell them about us.

Keep 'em coming. I'll sift through them later.

Thanks.

Trevor Burrus's blog

My good friend, Trevor Burrus, has an excellent blog about Christianity and atheism. His articles have generated an extraordinary number of comments -- most pretty thoughtful -- over the years. His most popular is probably The 10 Reasons Christianity is Wrong.

www.waragainsttheweak.com

Exposes the racist agenda of the Darwinians.

Anon- the racists you're talking about are "eugenicists", not "Darwinians". There's a difference.

JP- if you don't get summarily deleted: get some experience. Grow up.

Howdy John,

Well, there's Triablogue. But, of course, you already know about it. ;)

Then there's rctr.org. LOTS of resources here from various schools of apologetics. Everything is very well laid out as well.

Another site is the Center for Reformed Theology and Apologetics. There is a lot of information on presuppositional apologetics here -- many articles by Greg Bahnsen, among other things.

More Reformed apologetcs: VanTil.info

Finally there is James Anderson's website. There are a lot of great articles there. You will find him to be one of the clearest presuppositional writers out there.

Hope that helps. Take care, John.

~Chris

To whoever provided the debunkingcrap.blogspot.com site,

Wow what an eye-opener! If anyone wants to see theists acting like pre-school children, definitely go take a gander at this site! It is funny in a train-wreck sort of way...

RE: CARM - Christian Apologetics Research Ministry

I loved this site back when I was a Christian, and I forgot it even existed. So for fun, I went back and read some of the apologetics stuff today...

I like their section on defining logical fallacies, although it appears to me that the person writing that section did not write the arguments that I read since they contained serious fallacies... or if it was the same person, they are just intellectually dishonest. Either way, it was a nice walk down memory lane with a good laugh to boot.
