Freethinkers: A source guide to atheists, humanists and other nontheists

It looks to me that this site is the most up to date comprehensive online list of resources about freethinkers I have found. There is a great deal of information here. Check it out. My books are even mentioned in it!

"My books are even mentioned in it!"

John, were you this much of a self-promoter when you were pretending to have a healed relationship with Jesus? Did you tell people which conventions you were speaking at and asking them to buy your merchandise?

Did you start thinking to yourself, Why should I spend all this time leading people to Jesus when everything in me wants to lead them toward John W. Loftus?

. . . your point being he's a jerk for mentioning his books on his blog that entertains you for free . . .?

^ Hey look everyone! A Christian pulling the No True Scotsman fallacy out of his butt! Golly, we've never seen that one before...

Thesauros, no, actually I was surprised to get an honorable mention. Sorry if it came off as self-promoting or boastful.

But as Rhacodactylus said, who cares if I did?

When I think about it though, I remember wanting people to see Christ in me. I wanted to be like Christ as an advertisement like a billboard for Christ.

Do YOU do that? Are YOU a self-promoter in the sense that you want, desire, hope, and pray that people see what a good person you are so they see Christ? See what a good person I am, you say, right, or you secretly hope they do without having to say so?

And this stuff about humility. Scrap it. It's worthless stuff. Christian simply do not know what it is. Moses reportedly told everyone he was the most humble man on earth. What a joke. Of course I don't think he wrote that, but you're stuck explaining it away.

Are you more humble than others? Sort of a catch-22 eh?

I'm glad John promotes his stuff and its mention. He is a good thinker and writer and if another source cites that then odds are I might get to enjoy other good thinkers and writers. I need all I can to detox from the stupidity of a butt-load of christian sermons.
