Wake Up! Your god is a Monster

"If any religion allows the persecution of the people of different faiths, if any religion keeps women in slavery, if any religion keeps people in ignorance, then I can't accept that religion.” -Taslima Nasrin, Bangladeshi Author
I have to agree with Taslima and so I say, so much for the god of Abraham. Those are all things that the Abrahamic god both supports and commands. When one simply steps back and examines the fruit of religion, monotheism in particular, it is just so painfully obvious what a moral pit it is and what a monster the god of Abraham truly is. The Abrahamic god fails all tests of reason that could provide any form of proof for his existence but he also fails any moral test that may cause one to actually want him to exist. So if reason isn’t enough to wake up this god’s believers to see his non-existence I can only hope that one day his nasty nature will do the job and shake open their eyes. Then perhaps we will all be able to focus on making the world a better place here and now for everyone rather than waiting for some person of faith to destroy the world as the god of Abraham so eagerly waits to do.

[Taslima Nasrin is an author who rose to global fame by the end of the 20th century owing to her feminist views and her criticism of religion in general and of Islam in particular. She currently lives in Sweden after expulsion from India where she was denounced by the Muslim clergy and received death threats from Islamic fundamentalists. She works to build support for secular humanism, freedom of thought, equality for women, and human rights by publishing, lecturing, and campaigning.]

I personally find christians to be way too pushy. Ten years ago i nearly died. I needed highly controversial surgery (hysterectomy) to save my life. My devoutly christian relatives and so called friends tried to stop me having that operation, even contacting my specialist to talk him into not operating. They nearly succeeded. Post surgery my specialist said he should've operated much sooner as it was nearly too late. He admitted he would've operated much sooner had it not been for all my relations and so called friends ringing him opposing me having the operation
