I'm beginning to detect the seed of a new scholarly study taking root here of apologetics itself: its techniques, goals, rhetorical strategies, and so forth. It seems like a deeper level of analysis than just going after apologetic arguments themselves.

Am I reading you correctly? I hope so, because it seems to me there is a huge need for such scholarship.Robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01103625744750161588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21219785.post-9514807551876110512010-08-05T21:01:11.495-04:002010-08-05T21:01:11.495-04:00I like this post, well said.I like this post, well said.Ignerant Phoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13166860576010836032noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21219785.post-58563826887070636312010-08-05T20:18:37.564-04:002010-08-05T20:18:37.564-04:00For me I think this is the thing that amazes me wi...For me I think this is the thing that amazes me with Christian apologetics... and I was guilty.

I think that's why if you really look at Christian Apologetics most do not spend time working to prove their own faith "True" instead they set out to prove everything else false (including other faith systems) because if they can do THAT, then they feel better about their "faith" ... but it is a circle and double standard.Dan DeMurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09402985472547749466noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21219785.post-21455939891544813892010-08-05T17:46:56.709-04:002010-08-05T17:46:56.709-04:00Hey John

That may or may not be true, but it sounds like all you're saying in point 3 is that Christian apologists are deceiving themselves because they're wrong and that they're wrong because they're deceiving themselves!Dan Wilkinsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14437736905217016441noreply@blogger.com
