24 Hour Youtube Atheist Marathon for Doctors Without Borders - Sept 8th 2012

The Youtube atheist community has raised over $100,000 for Doctors Without Borders over the past three years, and it is nearly time for their annual marathon.  It will take place the weekend of 8/9th September. Familiar faces will be appearing on the show including Aronra, Zomgitscriss, ProfMTH, C0nc0rdance, Matt Dillahunty, and Seth Andrews (The Thinking Atheist).  Here is DPRJones explaining how it works:

Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare.  MSF offers assistance to people based on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation. EBAY ITEMS Over the last 3 years over 25% of all donations has come through items donated on ebay.  If you have anything that you would like to donate to ebay please send a message here: msfebay@ymail.com They will do all the hard work for you. Just tell them what you would like to donate and they will do the rest. All you will have to do is put it in the mail once someone has paid for it. If you would like to make a regular donation, the donation pages for this year's event are open. The justgiving page is: http://www.justgiving.com/DPR-Jones0 The firstgiving page is: http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/dpr-jones/dprjonessfundraisingpage These sites were suggested by MSF. They are official sites that collect and transfer the money directly to MSF/DWB. Noone involved with this event can handle the money. It goes directly to the charity. Further, no one involved in this event makes any money out of it. They all give their time and effort for free. You can find a provisional schedule here. And the show will be streamed here: http://www.blogtv.com/People/dprjones Doctors Without Borders is a fantastic secular charity that is well worth supporting.  If you are able, please consider donating a few bucks or an Ebay item to help them out. :)
