Richard Dawkins Interviewed on The Colbert Report

Best opening line, ever:
My guest tonight is a scientist who argues there is no God...and you know what? He'll have an eternity in hell to prove it!

Very funny, but it must have been extremely frustrating for Mr. Dawkins trying to get his point across without being constantly interrupted by Colbert.

Richard Dawkings: Logic is everything. God is illogical. God does not compute!

Interviewer: What about those people who claim to feel God?

Richard Dawkings: Feelings are illogical. Those people are not scientists. Scientists are superior. I am superior. I do not feel God therefore those people are delusional.

When I was a child I used to believe that everything could be explained through reason and scientists were the smartest people in the world. I grew out of that. It's sad that Richard Dawkings has not.

I was an analytical person and so I believed that everything could be understood with reason and logic. Why did I believe that? Because believing that made me feel superior. If everything could be understood with reason and I was analytical then I would be at the very top heap.

I would ask Richard Dawkings this: What if just as some people are good at perceiving mathematical relationships and others ware good at perceiving artistic relationships, there were people who are good at perceiving spiritual relationships. What if highly logical people are often very bad at perceiving spiritual matters?

Dawkins is a pretty arrogant guy.

And he classifies whole groups by the actions of some; anyone else would be called a BIGOT for doing that.

Heck, athesits, theist, fundie, whatever...by any standard Dawkins is just a prick.
