The First Endorsement For My Upcoming Debate with Dinesh D'Souza

John W. Loftus, author of Why I Became an Atheist and a previous visitor to this forum will be debating Dinesh D'Souza at the University of Illinois on February 10. The topic will be "Does the Christian God Exist."

I think John is especially well suited for such a debate having studied under William Lane Craig, one of the premier apologists in the world. John's understanding of apologetic arguments and their flaws is extensive, and his keen intellect and analytical abilities should serve him well in debating D'Souza. Again, I strongly urge both theists and atheists on this forum to buy John's book. The level of detail that it provides in assessing the validity of Christianity is extraordinary. I was overwhelmed by the food for thought and information that the book provided.

I've watched some videos of debates between theists and well-known atheists online and have quite frankly been disappointed with the performance of many of the atheists. I think John has the intellect and the background to do a much better job. I'm looking forward to his encounter with D'Souza. Link.
