News Flash: A Debate With William Lane Craig Is In the Works
All I know at this point is that someone is working on it. I do not know if Dr. Craig has been asked or whether he has agreed. I'll leave it to the bookies to take your bets and set the odds. D'ya think there's a chance? Link. Would you like to see it?

You and I have discussed this before. I will be surprised if Craig actually agrees to do the debate (given what he told me in person more than once), but if he does, then I hope you'll prepare adequately and give him a run for his money. He's a much more worthy opponent than Dinesh D'Souza, obviously. Good luck.

Craig is a formidable debater, if by formidable you mean that he's adept at using misdirection and nonsequiturs to obfuscate the topic at hand. I've never been remotely impressed by him.

Mysterium, you couldn't be more wrong. Craig has been beaten before by people who weren't necessarily students under him (Shelly Kagan, Ray Bradley). I couldn't think of a better person than Loftus to debate Craig, and I'm just guessing you don't know who John is.
I don't doubt for an instance, John, that you have the arguments to take apart Craig. But I've only seen one video of you debating, so I'm not sure how it translates.
If there is a debate, there will be a video and you will post it online the day after, right?
I think that everyone wants to see this one, but don't look ahead, that is how teams lose to the Raiders. I hope there will be an audio, or even better, a video afterward. Good luck with both of the debates.

I would love to see it. I just listened to the Ray Bradley debate and agree with Josef. It was one of the few times that I have heard Craig stumble and get thrown off stride. That is what it takes. Get him off his talking points.

I was just joking about getting your butt kicked John. I think it will be a good debate. Hope it happens.
If this does happen, I would like to see John hammer Craig about his fideism. It would be like cutting his legs out from under him, to move the debate from any 'reasonable' arguments for Christianity to the topic of why this doesn't even matter to Craig. It seems to me like that would be fairly effective.
Just curious: have there been any notifications of further progress?
