I'll Be Speaking At the University of Wisconsin-Madison Campus, Tuesday, February 12th.

Chris Hallquist and his secular student organization invited me to speak on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison about why I rejected Christianity. I'll be doing this February 12th at 7 PM in the Mosse Humanities Building. [On the University map link, click on "Show Me," then "Arts Venues." The building is on the corner of N. Park and University Ave. This will take place in room 2650 of that building. If you're near the area I would like to meet ya. Please tell anyone you know who lives near there about it as well.

I'm about two hours from there. It'd be neat if I could make it.

Great John! I only wish I could be there.

I live, unless I'm mistaken, just shy of an hour from there. That's pretty close.

Unfortunately, you are comepeting with Barack Obama, so I would have to say that you're f**ked.

Yeah, Obama announced three days in advance that he was coming to the campus the same night I was scheduled to be there. Nearly 200 people had said they were coming to hear me speak until that was announced. About 100 people did show up! Not bad when going head to head with a popular Presidential candidate.

I was scheduled to give a talk at an outdoor festival on the third day of three days of rain. Just as my talk was to begin in the big tent, the sun came out. Guess how many wanted to stay in the tent to hear me? Only when I agreed to give it at the picnic tables outside the tent in the sun did any audience show up!
