Isn't God's Creation Wonderful?

God could not have made all creatures as vegans/vegetarians, could he? Nope. Not a chance. It was impossible for him. Right?

This video reminds me once again what a wonderful world it is.

God is good!

Duh, then Leviticus 1 would have to read something like :

The sons of Aaron the priest are to put fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire. Then Aaron's sons the priests shall arrange the slices of tomato and dill, including the head of lettuce and the natural omega fat from the avo, on the burning wood that is on the altar. He is to wash the inner parts and the legumes with water, and the priest is to burn all of it on the altar. It is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, an aroma pleasing to the Lord .

I would think not. Think of how different history could have been :)

Lmao....man WTF is that suppossed to mean....?

Anyway, John you picked a pretty good video to show the savagery in nature.
There is so much of this kinda stuff that you could use.
Footage of what orca's do to sea lions, or a baby gazelle getting torn to shreds by lions, or crodiles grabbing zebra's by the head and drowning them?

Its gruesome but its nature and its the point that matters.

John, I've been a vegetarian for over three years now. Are you a vegetarian?

Anonymous said...

Eric, why do you ask? Does it matter?

John, I asked mainly out of curiosity: as a vegetarian, I like talking to others who have made the same commitment. (I'm of course aware that whether you are or aren't is irrelevant as far as your Darwinian problem of evil goes.)

That's a great commitment Eric. My wife is a vegan and that's all I'll say.

I find it very hard to take the "seriousness" of Christianity seriously at some times, and then I come up with re-interpretations of their "holy scripture" as above. Read through Leviticus 1 and you will see what I was doing, in response to John's question.

When I start a post with "Duh" you can rest assured that I am being less than solemn and serious. Most blasphemous of me.

Hey, plants are living things too ya know!

A truly loving deity would have made any consumption of any other living things unnecessary.

Or at least less tasty.

1) Way to go, Octopus! :-)

2) Maybe not all of his creatures wanted or liked to be vegetarian. Maybe they chose, with the small but free instincts that they had [and still have], to eat flesh.

3) And maybe, just maybe, this is meant to teach us something about self-sacrifice: Christ, after all, offered us His own flesh for food and His own body for consumption. --> I know you wish me well, John.. but would you wish me well even at the expense of your own well-being? (Because that's what redemption is all about: John 15:13).
